TESCO has expanded its newest delivery service that promises your groceries a speedy arrival at your door.
The rapid delivery service named “Whoosh” was launched last month to ferry items from Tesco to customers’ doors within an hour.

The service was first trialled from a single store in Wolverhampton, where anybody living in the postcodes surrounding the Willenhall Express store could try it.
Anybody who has a postcode beginning with WV1 – WV4 has already been able to benefit from the service since the end of May this year.
Now, a further 11 Tesco Express stores in London and Bristol have been added to the list and anyone living in a close enough proximity will be able to use the under-one-hour delivery option.
Tesco wouldn’t confirm exactly which stores will be offering the service, so its unclear who will benefit from the speed delivery.

- Wolverhampton: Postcodes beginning with WV1 – WV4
- Bristol: Postcodes TBC
- London: Postcodes TBC
Not all postcodes in the city are covered and it’s likely that the closer you live to the city centre will mean your address is eligible.
Tesco’s CEO Ken Murphy said: “We started from one store, and it’s now available from 12 stores as the trial progresses.”
When you’re doing your online shopping on either the app or Tesco’s website you can pop your address in, and then you will be told automatically if Whoosh is available in your area.
You can use Tesco’s store finder too, to see where your closest is.
The service comes directly from the Express stores rather than one big warehouse.
If you do qualify, Whoosh is available from 7am-10pm every day of the week.
It costs £5 per order, which is 50p more than the regular delivery service, Tesco provides from £4.50, but you don’t need to spend a certain amount to place an order.
If your basket is under £15 though, you’ll be charged an additional £2 on top of the £5 cost.
It’s based on the weight and size of products and you’ll be automatically notified as you shop if you need to take anything out of your basket or add anything in, for your order to qualify.
The service works a bit like Deliveroo or UberEats, which many other supermarkets are partnered with for speedy home delivery services.
Depending on the size of your order, it’ll be delivered by bike, motorcycle or car to your front door within the limited time period.
It’s free to sign up for a Tesco account and check if you can use Whoosh.
You can then choose from 1,700 products, including fresh food, everyday and baby essentials, household products, and much more in the service.

Tesco is also set to launch its first checkout-free store after successful trials have taken place.
The bank associated with the supermarket is also now trialling a new prepaid debit card that has perks like extra Clubcard points.
Shoppers with a Clubcard can save up to 50% for the same goods in their weekly shop at Tesco though, so it could be worth the investment.
