Tesco has revealed when its Christmas delivery slots will be available

But Tesco is one of the last supermarkets to confirm its delivery slots – with Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Asda already putting theirs live.

Christmas delivery slots usually get snapped up quickly, so make a note of when you need to be online to bag yourself a slot.

You’ll be in with a better chance if you pay for a delivery pass as members are given priority at Christmas – but this does come at an extra cost.

An anytime delivery plan costs £7.99 a month, or £47.94 a month.

This year, Tesco says it will have more than 1.2 million slots available in the week leading up to Christmas.

But if you miss out on a home delivery slot, you might have more luck with click and collect, so it’s worth checking when the time comes.

Tesco shoppers with an anytime delivery plan can book a slot for their Christmas delivery from Tuesday, November 15.

And customers with any anytime click and collect plan will also be able to book a collection slot on the same date.

And anyone can bag themselves a slot from November 22 onwards.

If you want to get ahead of the game, you can still sign up to the relevant delivery plan by November 14 to get priority.

Christmas slots for click and collect will be available from Tuesday, December 20 to Friday, December 23.

While home delivery customers may be able to bag themselves a slot on Christmas eve.

What is a Tesco delivery pass and how does it work?

Delivery passes allow you to pay a flat fee either monthly, yearly or six monthly, and then get your deliveries for free.

If you’re a regular online shopper, this could be a way of reducing costs.

But should only consider taking out a delivery pass if you order groceries online regularly, and if you think it will save you money in the long term.

Any anytime delivery plan costs £7.99 per month for 12 months and gives priority access to both click and collect slots and Christmas home delivery.

You can also pay an upfront fee of £47.94 if you don’t want to pay monthly.

The supermarket’s anytime click and collect plan, priced at £2.49 a month, gives priority access to click and collect Christmas slots.

If you chose to pay annually, this works out at £14.49.

But the supermarket’s off peak delivery plan doesn’t offer priority access to Christmas delivery slots.
