TESCO customers have been left fuming over a change that’s left them unable to earn bonus Clubcard points.

The supermarket has axed a survey site that rewarded customers with Clubcard points and a chance to win a £1,000 voucher.

In-store shoppers used to be given receipts urging them to visit tescoviews.com, to be in with the chance of winning a gift card, as well as earning an extra 25 Clubcard points.

But this week disappointed shoppers noticed that the retailer is no longer accepting survey responses through the site.

A notice at the address says it is instead reaching out directly to customers for their opinions, and it’s understood this will now be done via email.

Shoppers are disappointed with the change, with one saying on X: “Tesco, you seem to have removed your surveys, which is a shame. It was a good way to get 25 points.

“Your receipts still say surveys can be done so it needs to be corrected.”

Another added: “Very disappointed that you have stopped Clubcard customer surveys for 25 points. With no warning to customers at all.”

A third added: “Why do your receipts still say collect 25 points by going to tescoviews.com when after going on there I am told you no longer do this survey?”

Tesco responded to say that the address would shortly be removed from all receipts.

Another customer wanted to complain about the service in their local store, but didn’t know how now the site has been taken down.

They added: “Making it impossible to give feedback will hardly impress anyone.”

Shoppers get one point for every £1 spent while using their Clubcard, although sometimes there are double points offered.

Each Clubcard point is worth 1p to spend at Tesco, so 500 points is equivalent to £5 cash.

Other ways to get bonus Clubcard points include sending a parcel using Evri.com, with one Clubcard point for every £1 you spend.

Joining Halfords’ Motoring Club Premium gets you 500 points, and recycling empty ink cartridges gets you up to 125 points.

Meanwhile collecting fuel at Esso with Tesco Express gets you one point for every £3 spent.

A Tesco spokesman said: “We have changed the way we carry out our customer surveys and now reach out to customers directly for their feedback.

“We encourage any customer who has feedback about their local store to speak to a member of the in-store team.”

Customers who respond to the emailed survey with their feedback will receive 25 Clubcard points and entry into a prize draw for £1,000 in Tesco gift cards

It’s understood the email will come from [email protected] and will have the customer’s name and details of the store they recently visited.

But customers are expected to be chosen at random from the pool of people who shopped in store the previous day, rather than being able to choose themselves.

What can I get with Tesco Clubcard?

TESCO’S Clubcard scheme allows shoppers to earn points as they shop.

These points can then be turned into vouchers for money off food at the supermarket, or discounts at other places like restaurants and days out.

Each time you spend £1 in-store and online, you get one point when you scan your Clubcard.

Drivers using the loyalty card get one point for every two litres spent on fuel.

One point equals 1p, so 150 points gets you a £1.50 money-off voucher, for example.

You can double their worth when you swap them for discounts with “reward partners”.

For example £12 worth of vouchers can be swapped for a £24 three month subscription to Disney+.

Or you can swap 50p worth of points for £1 to spend at Hungry Horse pubs.

Where you can spend them changes regularly, and you can check on the Tesco website what’s available now.

Tesco shoppers can also get Clubcard prices when they have the loyalty card.

The discounted items change regularly and without a Clubcard you’ll pay a higher price.

These Clubcard prices are usually labelled on shelves, along with the non-member price.

But it’s worth noting that just because it’s discounted doesn’t necessarily make it the cheapest around, and you should compare prices to find the best deal.

You can sign up to get a Tesco Clubcard in store or online via the Tesco website.

Shoppers will have given their consent to be emailed and will receive a maximum of one survey per month.

Tom Church, co-Founder of Latest Deals said: “Tesco’s move to email surveys reflects a trend in directly engaging customers for feedback, potentially offering more targeted opportunities for Clubcard points, sales, and discounts.”

“I imagine Tesco found it was the same people providing feedback again and again, so perhaps they wanted a wider pool of responses.”

“To keep getting the opportunity to earn Clubcard points for surveys, shoppers should make sure they’re signed up to Tesco’s marketing emails.”

“I use a separate email address to sign up to every shop’s marketing emails. It’s a great way to gather discount codes, coupons, and opportunities like these.”

“However, you do have to watch out for spam and malicious actors pretending to be shops. If something sounds too good to be true, skip it.”
