Tesco launches £150 egg chair after Aldi’s hanging version sold out

ALDI shoppers who missed out on the hanging egg chair can now get a similar version at Tesco for £150.

The discounter’s £149.99 egg chair went on sale online on Easter Sunday, but it quickly sold out and left shoppers queuing for hours.

However, Tesco has just launched a standing version – and it costs just 1p more.

This is available in 100 Tesco stores only, but the supermarket is yet to confirm which ones.

In the meantime, it could be worth giving your local store a ring to check whether it has any stock.

Tesco has almost 4,000 stores across the UK. You can find your nearest one by using its store locator tool.

This egg chair is also only available as long as stocks last, so it’s best to be quick.

Tesco is yet to confirm the size of it, but it comes with similar grey cushions as Aldi’s.

Famous fans, including TV star Stacey Solomon and cleaning sensation Mrs Hinch, have similar hanging egg-style chairs in their gardens.

If your nearest Tesco store doesn’t have the chair, then other shops are selling egg chairs of their own.

Bargain store B&M recently rolled out a chair for £125, or there’s a bigger one for £175 – but you’ll have to check in store.

Alternatively, Argos is selling one for a pricier £250.

In March, Aldi shoppers were furious after the hanging egg chair went on sale early.

The discounter’s new garden range included the sell-out hanging egg chair, as well as other items for green-fingered shoppers.
