EASTER is a while off but that hasn’t stopped Tesco launching deals on its chocolate eggs for the occasion.

The supermarket is selling a range of Easter eggs for as little as 75p – but shoppers need to watch out, as there’s a catch.

It’s certainly no shock to see eggs on the shelves at this time of year – some shops were selling them as soon as Christmas dinner was served.

But with Christmas well and truly wrapped up and spring on the way, many shoppers are starting to stock up on Easter treats.

Tesco’s website has eggs for every budget – ranging from bargain chocs to a Lindt milk chocolate egg complete with Lindor truffles for £15.

And bargain hunters can now pick up an egg for as little at 75p.

The range includes top choc brands Smarties, Rolo, Aero Bubbles, and Kit Kat Chunky.

And the eggs weigh in at between 119g to 129g.

And while some shoppers will have to pay £1 for the treats, Tesco Clubcard members can snap them up for less.

Members of the Tesco scheme can get 25% and pick the eggs up for just 75p each.

You can expect to see these bargains in stores from tomorrow, February 2 and the offer is available until February 8.

Online shoppers can get ahead by adding them to their online shopping basket from today.

Of course, you’ll need to factor in delivery costs if you’re buying online.

Standard home delivery usually costs between £2 to £7 per slot depending on availability.

Regular Tesco shoppers may benefit from the Delivery Saver offer of £7.99 per month.

If you’re not yet a Clubcard member, it’s free to register – you can sign up on Tesco’s website.

To make sure you get your discounts, you can use the clubcard number emailed to you while you wait for your card to arrive.

Are there cheaper eggs elsewhere?

Tesco isn’t the only supermarket stocking up on chocs for Easter.

The likes of Asda, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons also have eggs waiting to be bought.

When we checked, Sainsbury’s was selling the same eggs for £1.25 a pop, while Asda has them priced at 99p, and Morrisons at £1.50.

So Tesco comes out on top for cheapest Easter eggs so far.

If you’re on the hunt for more low-cost bargains, head to Aldi while it’s selling a sausage roll maker for just £15 to give you the Greggs experience at home.

While you’re there, you could take a look at Aldi’s dupe for Hotel Chocolat’s Velvetiser.

Elsewhere, McDonald’s announced a chicken Big Mac set to rollout nationwide from tomorrow, February 2.
