TESCO customers are fuming as contactless payments appear to be “down at UK supermarkets”.
All types of the supposedly easier way of paying – including Apple Pay – are not currently working, according to shoppers.

Reports suggest other supermarket giants are experiencing the same outage.
One Tesco customer raged: “No contactless payment in Tesco, utter garbage first world problem. I JUST WANT MY CHEESE.”
Another said: “Just witnessed everyone walk out of Tesco at once and go to a cash machine because their card machines are down. Help me.”
A third tweeted: “Obviously on the ONE day I forget my purse and have an urgent thing to buy… the ENTIRE Tesco contactless system goes down so I can’t use my Apple Pay.”
