SUPERMARKETS including Tesco and Waitrose have urgently recalled products due to salmonella contamination fears.
Tesco has warned customers not to eat its hog roast pork, while Waitrose said shoppers should avoid its basil pesto.

There is a risk that salmonella, which can cause serious food poisoning, could be in both products.
Symptoms caused by the bug include fever, vomiting, diarrhoea and tummy cramps.
Tesco has urged customers not to eat its hog roast style pork with apple sauce because the crackling crumb sachet could contain the harmful bacteria.
The affected batch has use by dates of:
- January 6
- January 6
- January 15
- January 17
- January 6
- March 7
- March 9
Some of the use-by dates have already passed, but shoppers may have frozen the product.

You should return the item to a Tesco store, where you will be able to get a full refund without the need for a receipt.
The supermarket apologised for any inconvenience, and said customers can call 0800505555 if they need more details.
Meanwhile, Waitrose is recalling its own-brand green pesto with basil as salmonella has been detected.
You should return the 145g jar to store if it has a use by date of February 27.
The grocer warned customers not to eat the product, but instead return it to the Waitrose store you bought it from for a full refund.
Waitrose customers can call 0800188884 and choose option four for more details.
A spokesperson said: “We are recalling our Waitrose Green Pesto with Basil (145g) with a use by of February 27, 2022, after salmonella was detected during routine checks.
“Customers should not consume these items and should return them to us for a full refund. We are very sorry for the inconvenience.”
Fresher Foods issued an urgent recall last week over fears its pork scratchings could cause serious food poisoning.
It was the second salmonella alert for the snack manufacturer this month.
A rogue batch of pork scratchings put at least a dozen people in hospital with salmonella in August last year.
