WALKERS has had crisp fans in a frenzy after discontinuing some of its much-loved flavours.

As well as traditional flavour Walkers the crisp giant also produces Monster Munch, Wotsits, Sensations and Quavers.

The popular snack company has just about every flavour covered from pickled onion to Thai sweet chilli and punchy paprika.

Whatever flavour takes your fancy you can usually bank on Walkers to deliver.

However, some crisp aficionados have been left reeling in recent months after discovering some of their best-loved flavours are no more.

There are several reasons why a flavour may be discontinued.

More often than not it is due to poor sales, but sometimes it can be to make way for new flavours.

Also, in some cases, a flavour is introduced as a limited edition and is never made to stick around.

We have put together a list of all of the popular crisp flavours that Walkers fans are desperate to see again.

Walkers Marmite

Love it or hate it Marmite fans are gutted to see this favourite discontinued from the range.

Walkers Marmite flavour crisps have been on the shelves for over 20 years.

But The Sun recently uncovered that this divisive potato snack flavour was discontinued at the end of 2023.

While you might still be able to find some on the supermarket shelves, once they are gone, this time they are gone forever.

Once a snack is discontinued, it can take a while to work through the remaining merchandise.

Tesco, Asda and Ocado are among the shops that still have them in stock online right now – but not for long.

A spokesperson told The Sun: “We are very sorry to disappoint fans of Marmite flavour Walkers crisps with this news.”

“We know many crisp lovers will hate to see this Walkers’ flavour go.”

“This change will enable us to focus our efforts on making more of the flavours crisp fans love the most.”

However, all is not lost for Marmite fans as there are other snacks available if you want to get a hit of the popular spread on the go.

Snack company Graze has a Marmite mix pack that includes broad beans, roasted corn and corn hoops in yeast extract seasoning.

You can buy from most supermarkets but Sainsbury’s has a 100g pack for £2.50.

Cheese lovers can also get cheddar cheese and Marmite bites, which is British Ilchester cheddar blended with Marmite and comes in a pack of five for £1.50.

Fans can also get Marmite oven-baked cashews, we found a 90g bag priced at £2.50 on Ocado.

Walkers Worcester Sauce

Last year there was uproar on social media after Walkers confirmed it had stopped making Worcester Sauce flavour.

Crisp connoisseurs had noticed the flavour’s absence from supermarket shelves “for a while” and then the news was confirmed.

One fan tweeted in October: “What has happened to Worcestershire sauce? Cannot tell you how much I miss my favourite flavour.”

To which Walkers admin replied: “Hi, we’re sorry but Worcester Sauce flavour is no longer part of our range.”

Others paid tribute to the crisp flavour on social media.

One said: Walkers Worcester Sauce were my favourite for years.”

Another added: “Aww no. Any chance they might come back at any time in the future?”

All is not lost for fans of Worcester Sauce crisps as other retailers do make them.

Seabrook Crinkle Cut crips can satisfy your craving and you can get a 6-pack on Ocado for £1.35.

When we checked online Walkers still do the French Fries in this flavour and Poundland had packs of six for £2.

Marks and Spencer also has its own Worcester Sauce flavour crisps, priced at £1.70 for a large bag.

Sizzling Steak Wotsits

The snack brand quietly discontinued this popular Wotsits flavour and fans were not happy about it.

The flavoured corn puffs were baked not fried and Walkers claimed each pack was 100 calories or less.

One X, formerly known as Twitter, user said in November last year: “Are sizzling steak Wotsits now discontinued as well? Can’t find them anywhere anymore,”

The brand responded to the query by saying: “Hi Callum, we’re sorry but sizzling steak Wotsits are no longer part of our range.”

The retro flavour was previously sold as BBQ beef but was pulled from the shelves in the early 2000s along with the Flamin hot flavour.

It was brought back in January 2020 due to popular demand so the move to discontinue the flavour has shocked fans.

This time it looks like the cult classic has gone for good.

If you are a lover of steak flavour crisps, McCoys is probably the next best go-to.

The popular crisp brand does flame grilled steak flavour and you can currently get a 45g bag from Sainsbury’s for £1.

Walkers Tear and Share

Walkers Tear ‘n’ Share crips were first launched in 2016 and were the perfect option when snacking with family and friends.

The thicker-cut crisps came in a unique bag that turned into a bowl when opened.

Sadly the new additions to the range lasted less than four years and were axed in 2019 after declining sales.

One fan of the Walkers Tear and Share took to X formerly known as Twitter after being unable to find his favourites in store.

The user wrote: “What’s happened to your tear and share packs, can’t find them anywhere.”

Walkers responded finally putting an end to his confusion: “Tear ‘n’ Share was discontinued several years ago, we’re sorry to say.”

The Beef and Onion Walkers were discontinued in 2022 – but many people haven’t realised until recently.

After searching high and low for the product in supermarkets, one shopper took to social media to ask Walkers why she was having no luck.

On X formerly Twitter, she wrote: ” “Have you stopped making Beef and Onion Crisps?”

To which Walkers replied: “Sorry to say Beef & Onion was discontinued last year.”

Even a Facebook page dedicated to crisps shared the disappointment in a post, that read: “So Walkers have confirmed to me that they have once more discontinued their Beef & Onion flavour crisps. Sad times.”

Other brands that do beef-flavoured crisps are Seabrook and Golden Wonder.

Ocado has a six-pack of Seabrook Beefy flavour crisps for £1.35 and Pipers do a 150g bag of Longhorn beef flavoured crisps for £3.50 in Sainsbury’s.

Smiths Cheese Moments

Described by fans as the “most underrated crisps ever” Smiths cheese moments have even been dubbed “king of all crisps”.

The snack was generally sold in pubs alongside snacks such as scampi fries.

They had a crispy casing and a yummy cheesy filling in the middle.

But they are no more as Walkers confirmed on Facebook this month that it no longer makes the popular snack.

A Facebook page has been dedicated to the retro favourite has already amassed 2.5k followers.

Fans of the crips even spurred crisp lovers to launch a Change.org petition titled “Bring back Cheese Moments”.

The page already has hundreds of signatures, so who knows?

We had a look to see if we could find any other crisps that could fill the void of the cheese moments but were unsuccessful.

It seems this crisp was truly in a class of its own.

Salt and Vinegar Quavers

Snack fans were shocked when Salt and Vinegar Quavers were nowhere to be seen on the supermarket shelves.

The snack maker told fans in November last year that it was no longer making the popular flavour.

Replying to a confused customer on social media, the snack giant said: “We’re sorry to break it to you Linda, but we’re not making this flavour anymore.”

The retro flavour first joined Walkers’ lineup back in 1993 and returned to shelves in 2021 along with prawn cocktail Quavers after demands from crisp lovers.

But sadly the crisp has gone again leaving many crisp-lovers bereft.

Walkers Max Fiercely Flamin Hot crisps

Walkers Flamin’ Hot flavour was launched in 2021 to help independent retailers target a younger audience.

Fans of this flavour were left devastated in November 2023 when the crisp giant confirmed it would not be seen in the shops again.

One concerned crisp lover tweeted: “Are you discontinuing the Walkers Max Flamin Hot??? I cannot find them anywhere.

“They are literally out of stock everywhere.”

The team at Walkers Crisps later replied: “We’re sorry, but Max Flamin Hot is no longer part of our range.”

For fans who like it hot, you might want to try Cheetos Flamin Hot Puffs, available in Sainsbury’s for £1.50 for a pack of six.

Peking Spare Rib oriental crakers

Walkers confirmed in November last year that it has discontinued another “yummy” crisp flavour putting puzzled fans out of their misery.

The Walkers Sensations are inspired by flavours from around the world and designed to be a “feast for the senses”.

Crisp connoisseurs had noticed the flavour’s absence from supermarket shelves and one fan tweeted Walkers to try and track some down.

They wrote: “@walkers_crisps hello have you stopped doing the Peking spare rib sensations? Cannot find them anywhere.”

Walkers’ admin replied: “We’re sorry to break it to you Becky, we’re not making this flavour anymore.”

Devastated fans reacted to the news on social media with some even asking if the snack giant had any spare packets “loitering around”.

One said: “@walkers_crisps please don’t tell me you’ve discontinued the Peking spare rib crackers?

Another said: “Got none loitering around a warehouse anywhere? My favourite crisps they were.”

Sensations Regal Lamb and Mint

In December last year, crisp lovers hoping to get their hands on this special edition flavour were bitterly disappointed.

The snack maker apologised to one Walkers lover who said she was unable to find the crisps in stores.

The fan tweeted: “All I want for Christmas is some Lamb and Mint,” before tagging the crisp company.

Fans’ hearts were broken when Walkers confirmed the popular flavour was only available for a specific occasion.

Regal Lamb & Mint was just a limited edition for the King’s Coronation, but we’ll let our team know you’d love to see them made permanent,” they responded.

If you are desperate to get your hands on some Lamb and Mint flavour crisps, don’t despair.

The Yorkshire Crisps does have some, however, you may not be able to find them in your local supermarket.

You can shop via their website, or you can also find other retailers online by popping the brand name and flavour into Google.
