- Stuart Bithell and Dylan Fletcher snatch last-gasp 49er win
- Giles Scott clings on to gold after men’s Finn medal race
- Silver medal then follows for Team GB in mixed Nacra
Giles Scott defended his Olympic title in the men’s Finn class with a fourth-place finish in the medal race as Britain claimed two dramatic golds in quick succession on Tuesday followed by a silver.
Scott claimed Team GB’s sixth consecutive gold in the Finn, shortly after Dylan Fletcher and Stuart Bithell had kick-started what promises to be a British sailing medal rush with a close-fought win in the men’s 49er FX. John Gimson and Anna Burnet then added a silver medal in the Nacra 17 to the day’s tally with a fifth-place finish in their medal race.
