Sweetgreen Inc. shares opened 86% higher in their market debut Thursday, as investors consider how the salad chain will operate with workers slowly returning to offices.

The stock opened at $52, above its better-than-expected initial public offering price of $28. The IPO price valued Sweetgreen, which isn’t profitable, at roughly $3.42 billion on a fully diluted basis.
