ALDI shoppers are buzzing as its cast iron casserole dishes are back online – but they won’t be around for long.

The dishes have been previously dubbed a Le Creuset dupe and will cost you a fraction of the price.

Aldi is selling the cooking pots exclusively online as a SpecialBuy’and they come in two colours: pearl and sage green.

Home cooks can order the 26cm round deep cooking casserole dish, which costs £29.99.

A bargain when compared to the same size Le Creuset Casserole Soup Pot that costs £315.

You can also grab the 20cm pot which will cost you just £19.99 on the Aldi website.

The Aldi dishes have a 5.3L capacity and are oven safe up to 250C, making it perfect for going from oven to table.

It also features tough enamel coating to help protect the cast iron and give you a pot that lasts.

It’s also easy to clean so you don’t need to spend time scrubbing away, the coating helps to remove any burnt bits easily.

Aldi shoppers have been raving about the pots in the review section of its website.

One wrote: “Really good value, nice colour, excellent quality, I have hardly used another pan/dish since I bought it.

“So much easier to start on hob then transfer straight to the oven.

“Saves time and fuel. Why pay so much more for a famous name!”

Another said: “Fantastic quality at a much more affordable price that another particular well known brand! Love it!”

Another reviewer wrote: “Bought this pan to replace my old Le Creuset cast iron casserole dish after I accidentally left in in the AGA for 2 days!!!

“It has more than exceeded my expectations – and is bigger than expected. Excellent value for money.”

Some shoppers were slightly dismayed by the weight of the dish.

One said: “I’ve wanted a cast iron pot for a while, this was an absolute bargain.

“However, I can hardly lift it! I know iron is going to be heavy but before there’s even any food in this it’s ridiculously heavy.

“I won’t be able to use it in the oven as I won’t be able to lift it in/out, so just on the hob where it’ll stay put.

“Such a shame, really is good value.”

The price is clearly a bargain, with nearly all of the reviews mentioning how affordable it is.

We did a search online to see if we could find one that could rival the low cost.

John Lewis is selling its own version on its website and a 24cm pot would set you back £55 while a 28cm one costs £65.

We also found that it is selling the Le Creuset pot for less than the official website at £235, but it’s still considerably more than Aldi.

The ProCook cast iron casserole dish is available online for £69.99 for a 28cm dish.

So, it does look like the Aldi product is the cheapest on the market but The Sun always recommends shopping around for the best bargain.
