TESCO has been hit with a massive IT breakdown – just hours after Sainsbury’s was swamped with similar issues.
The “Every Little Helps” grocer say the problems have forced them to cancel home deliveries.
They did not specify how many customers or which regions are affected.
A Tesco spokesperson said: “We are working to fix a technical issue which has meant we have had to cancel some online orders that were due for delivery today.

The problems sparked fury online as customers expecting their home delivery or click-and-collect had orders cancelled.
One fumed on X: “My daughter was due to pick up a click and collect order between 7-8 tonight but informed at 10am ish it was cancelled with no reason given?
“She is at work all day in the NHS and could do without this are you suffering the same issues as Sainsbury’s?”
Another lashed out: “I turned up to collect my click and collect this morning, but it wasn’t available despite receiving an email.

“I was told it would be cancelled, but you have marked it as collected.”
It comes just hours after Sainsbury’s cancelled thousands of home deliveries and contactless payments collapsed after an overnight software update.
Customers were furious online and vented on X, formerly Twitter, at the supermarket.

Another said: “Proactively contacting customers??
“Sat on hold for over an hour to find out what’s happening with my order, no hold music so not even sure sat in a queue.”
A third posted: “You have made an enemy in me today.”
While a fourth threatened to go to the competition: “Was planning a Sainsbury shop in Gloucester today, sounds safer just to go to Tesco instead.”
On Friday, McDonald’s had a system crash forcing it to close some of its restaurants.
Customers were reportedly turned away from stores and some reported issues with online ordering.
A Sainsbury’s spokesperson said earlier: “We are currently experiencing a technical issue affecting some stores, our Groceries Online service and our ability to contact customers directly.
“Unfortunately, we will not be able to fulfil the vast majority of today’s Groceries Online deliveries.
