SUPERMARKET shoppers may be wondering the best time to stock up on essentials ahead of the August Bank holiday.

Stores are remaining open over the bank holiday weekend including Tesco, Asda, Aldi and more but their opening hours may have changed.

Aldi opening times

Aldi stores are open during the bank holiday weekend.

Its listed its opening hours on its website. They are:

  • Saturday August 27: 8am-10pm
  • Sunday August 28: 10am-4pm
  • Monday August 29: 8am-4pm

However, opening hours may vary so ensure you check your stores opening times.

You can check the opening times on Aldi’s website with the store locator tool.

Asda opening times

Asda stores’ will be open. However, like Aldi, you’ll need to use the store locator tool to check what time your local store is open.

Lidl’s opening times

Lidl‘s opening hours change between each store, so your best bet is to check its store locator.

You can also use Google, to search your nearest store’s opening hours.

Morrisons’ opening times

Morrisons have told The Sun its bank holiday opening times will remain the same except for Monday. Their opening times are:

  • Monday August 29: 7am-8pm.

To find out your local store’s opening hours, use the Morrisons Store Locator tool.

Sainsbury’s opening times

The vast majority of Sainsbury’s stores across England, Wales and Northern Ireland will open between 7am and 8pm.

Stores in Scotland will be open as normal.

However, shoppers should find out when their local Sainsbury’s store is open, using its store locator tool as opening hours can vary.

Tesco’s opening times

Tesco store hours vary depending on location. Therefore customers should use Tesco’s store locator tool to find out when their local store is open.

The majority of large Tesco stores will be open between 8am and 6pm whilst Express stores will have normal opening hours.

Tesco delivery and Click+Collect services will also be running as normal during the weekend.

To ensure you get to your local store before it closes, you should use the store locator tool.
