One recent launch was a skincare range which was likened to La Mer, but it sold out within “hours” fans said.

Named Lacura, the moisturisers and gel serums were announced on Wednesday in an Instagram Reel by the supermarket.

They were stocked in shops by 8am Thursday – Lacura’s Moisturising Cream was just £3.99.

Aldi has previously sold the Lacura dupe and other including Weleda and Elemis.

But, fans commented how quickly they had run out in store.

“All gone from Aldi in Burnley,” said one person on Saturday.

“But they are not in ALL stores… I have actually tried all stores, 8 in total, in a 10 mile radius and they never have any of them,” said another.

A third said: “The Dagenham store was completely empty on Thursday.”

Some fans reported finding them in store, but many commented that they had appeared on eBay for twice the price.

Fans demanded that the limited editions become a permanent fixture in the store.

One fan said: “There is no point selling something that you can only buy once or twice a year.

“People want consistency in their skin care regime, not a bit of this and a bit of that.”

Another said: “We need all beauty stuff available always! You could just open a beauty store lol.”

In response, Aldi told the Manchester Evening News : “As with all of our Specialbuys, we only have limited numbers of this range, so when they’re gone, they’re gone.”

The budget supermarket has previously sold dupes of Revitalash’s £99 lash serum for just £4.99 and £2.99 dupes of popular perfumes such as Black Opium, which retails at £52.

Previously Aldi has sold dupes of L‘Occitane’s beloved almond range, and versions of Tom Ford candles.

And it’s safe to say, many social media users are already going wild about the bargain buys.

One Make-up whizz revealed on TikTok what she makes of the Aldi dupes.

The cosmetics aficionado tried out the ‘Velvet Sugar’ shade, and was immediately shocked by how pigmented the lip liner is.

While Molly found that it was nice to apply and creamy, she’d rank it pretty low compared to the other dupes she tested, with her adding it didn’t really stand out.

Posting on TikTok, one woman named Olivia Mulhearn showed off the dupe products and wrote: “You don’t want to miss them!”
