A GP says the appointments crisis is what happens when an increase in patients is not met with more resources

I am losing hope. I know my patients are too. Many of them are on the phone for hours trying to get through, and many feel aggrieved when they wait so long to see us.

I can see why the government has asked us to identify the 20% of practices with the lowest face-to-face appointment levels. I, too, would want my family to be able to see a GP when necessary.
