Broadcaster worked at BBC Radio 1 and Radio 2 for more than 40 years, garnering millions of devoted listeners

The broadcaster Steve Wright, who presented programmes for BBC Radio 1 and Radio 2 for more than 40 years, has died at the age of 69, the BBC said.

A statement shared to BBC News by Wright’s family said: “It is with deep sorrow and profound regret that we announce the passing of our beloved Steve Wright.
