STEAM has added a new upgrade to its beta client that will allow players to better multitask.
The gaming platform is hoping that players will be able to play games more smoothly with the latest feature.
Steam has added the ability to pin other apps over the top of a game, which comes with a whole host of possibilities for gaming.
If you’ve ever used a guide for a game, you’ll know the struggle of tabbing in and out of a game to look up a puzzle.
The new update will mean that you can keep the guide pinned to the game so you never have to close out.
If you prefer to figure things out for yourself, you could add a notepad instead to write down all the points of interest you’ve seen.
The new feature can even pin drawing apps to the top, so that you can map out a level or work out solutions.
The new upgrade even has the power to pin movies and videos on top of the game so you can watch something as you play.
It’s common for gamers to multitask, particularly with games that they enjoy and have played many times.
Instead of taking up the computer and the TV, gamers will now be able to watch a film and play at the same time.

The new upgrade is still being tested at the moment, and is not available to every Steam user just yet.
However, the feature will be rolling out to beta testers who will report on any issues they run into while using it.
They’ll also provide Steam with feedback on anything that could improve the feature.
It shouldn’t be long before we can all watch Succession while we play Call of Duty.
