STEAM users in the UK and the US are having trouble accessing their accounts to download games and complete purchases.

On Saturday morning, over 1,000 complaints were reported by DownDetector in the UK, mainly in London.

Users in the US had trouble too, however, it seems that the situation is affecting British players more.

Most problems were encountered while logging in, while others also had issues with downloads and purchses.

So far, there hasn’t been any update given by Steam.

  • Issues seem to be resolved

    Thankfully, Steam got onto the issues immediately as reports suggest that the problems may have been solved.

    It comes as reports have dropped to 54.

    If you still have issues, you can ask for help through Steam’s website.

  • What problems are users having?

    Most issues have been with logging in as 77% of reports suggested.

    Meanwhile, 19% had problems with server connection while another 4% could’nt complete purchases.

  • Problems mainly affecting the UK

    It seems that the problem is mainly in the UK.

    Most reports have come from London as suggested by the heat map below.

  • Steam is down

    Reports on DownDetector suggest that users are having problems accessing their Steam accounts.

    The problem seem to have started 10am today.
