But nothing marks the countdown to Christmas quite like the release of Starbucks’ iconic red cups.

Each year, the coffee giant impresses by rolling out specially-designed drink vessels.

The chain first introduced its holiday cups back in 1997.

Sandy Nelson, then a Starbucks designer, created that first set of holiday cups.

But they weren’t red. Instead, they were wrapped like a gift in rich shades of magenta, sapphire, emerald and purple.

This year, Starbucks is introducing a new set of four designs for the holidays, wrapped like a gift for their customers just as they were 25 years ago.

One cup is named “Gift-Wrapped Magic” and this features wavy ribbons and shimmering sparkles giving this red and green cup a magical vibe, all wrapped up like the perfect gift.

The “Frosted Sparkle” cup features retro starbursts and diamond shapes on a frosty mint green cup.

Another cup dubbed “Ornament Wonder” has multiple colourful holiday motifs including Christmas trees, stars and diamonds.

The new cups are available on the same day that Starbucks launched its new festive menu.

You can find your nearest Starbucks store online or the drinks will also be available to order through the Starbucks UK app to collect in-store.

Customers can also get food and drink delivered via Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats but there will be a delivery fee.

We’ve listed what’s on offer from today below.
