It was spotted in Falmouth harbour on Wednesday morning before moving to Pendennis Shipyard later in the afternoon.

At a staggering 254ft (77 metres) long and 37ft (11 metres) wide, Pi is the 21st largest vessel made by Dutch boat builder Feadship and the 195th biggest yacht in the world.

Its colossal size means it can host up to 12 guests and 18 crew members in 16 cabins, and its two engines make it capable of speeds of 18.4 knots.

As well as its own helicopter landing pad, Pi is home to a glass-bottomed swimming pool and onboard spa facilities.

The 1,592 ton yacht, previously named Syzygy 818, belongs to American businessman Schultz.

He amassed his fortune through coffee chain Starbucks after taking charge in the 1980s.

Today, the 68-year-old is estimated to be worth £2.9billion ($3.6bn) and is ranked as the 793rd richest person in the world, according to Forbes.
