SHOPPERS are rushing to The Range to bag a sell-out winter gadget that’s scanning at 60% off.
The bargain retailer has cut the price of a popular electric blanket from £49.99 to £19.99.

Posting on its Facebook page, The Range said: “Unbelievable value.
“We’re back with some all-new offers like the winter essential Teddy Sherpa electric blanket that’s down to £19.99 with 60% off…
“Yes, you read that right less than £20 for a snuggly electric blanket!”
Shoppers have been quick to respond to the news with one saying: “It’s perfect for Christmas.”

“Look so snuggly,” said a third shopper.
Electric blankets are a great way to help you try and cut back on your energy bills.
And this electric throw will cost you just 3p an hour to run.

Checkatrade estimates that the average cost of running your heating per kilowatt-hour is around 7p.
For a 24kW boiler that’s about £1.68 an hour so this is much cheaper.
But you will have to head into your local The Range store if you want this gadget as they aren’t available for online delivery.

But before you head into the store to grab one of these make sure you check to see if you can get one for free first.
Some energy companies are giving away electric blankets for free the year to customers who need them most.
Reach out to your energy supplier to see if you are eligible.
How else can I keep warm this winter
There are a few other things you can do to keep warm this winter without breaking the bank.
Get yourself a hot water bottle, they are always great for a cost-free way of keeping warm.
Don’t forget about preventative measures, draught-proof your home and seal your windows to stop air coming in.
Prices for draught excluders start from a fiver in most stores but a thick blanket rolled up will work just as well.
