Sainsbury’s shoppers have noticed the supermarket selling Fairy Liquid for 20p – 80p less than its usual price.

One fan posted the bargain to Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, where others shared their thoughts too.

One exclaimed: “I’d be clearing the shelves for that!”

Another enthused: “I never see bargains like this!”

And a third simply wrote: “Wow!”

The 320ml bottle would normally set you back £1 if you buy it online, plus any extra delivery costs.

But the price drop may vary per stores, so keep that in mind when you visit your local one.

To find where nearest Sainsbury’s, just use the store locator tool on its website.

And remember to shop around too for anything cheaper – you can use Trolley.co.uk or the Latest Deals app to compare supermarket product pricing.

Elsewhere Asda and Tesco also sell 320ml bottles for £1 usually.

Morrisons is a bit pricier, charging £1.30.

And remember the price will vary per size – a 450ml bottle of Fairy Liquid from Sainsbury’s would set you back £3. But bottles can hold as much as 600ml.

Keep a look out for own brand products too, because often they’re cheaper.

Last month, for example, shoppers spotted Sainsbury’s own brand washing up liquid for 50p.

You can buy four scents for that price including including Lemon, Cherry Blossom, Original and Sensitive.

We also found a 450ml bottle of Spiced Apple washing up liquid from Morrisons for 75p, which is cheaper than Fairy’s usual price.

Asda sells a 500ml bottle of own brand liquid for 55p – which might be worth your while too.

It also comes in several scents which you can browse online.

Don’t forget to consider added delivery fees if you order online and always check each supermarket’s store locator to make sure you’re not wasting petrol when going.

Elsewhere in Sainsbury’s bargains, one shopper spotted a pair of wellies which scanned for just £1 instead of £18.

Again, this was found at a local store, so you’re not guaranteed to find the same discounts where you are.
