As the cost of living soars, many Brits are looking to cheaper ways to stay warm as temperatures drop.

And, bargain hunters have gone wild for an affordable heated blanket from ASDA’s George.

The Silentnight Teddy Fleece Electric Blanket is sure to keep customers toasty this winter and it’s currently on discount at £30.

It costs just 1p an hour to run, and three heat settings allow users to cosy up under the perfect temperature.

Machine washable and sleep safe, this electric blanket has proved a hit with money-saving shoppers.

According to the discount supermarket, the energy-saving gadget heats up ultra fast so you can too.

The teddy fleece fabric creates “maximum cosiness” and easy fit straps make it secure and a breeze to attach.

It measures 135cm x 65cm, meaning it won’t reach the edge of your mattress to prevent the blanket bunching up.

This comes as other budget chains are offering similar cost cutting solutions this winter.

It is slightly more expensive, on the market for £67.

Meanwhile, The Range offer a cheaper heated blanket with prices ranging from £24.99 to £34.99 depending on size.

And, homeware chain Lakeland, have created a heated poncho with nine different settings and poppers to keep in place around you – perfect to use while working from home.

This comes as the top 11 electric blankets this year have also been revealed.
