Of all the tech brands that appear on Amazon, it’s Samsung whose name appears the most (outside of dodgy-looking and suspiciously cheap alternatives whose names we don’t recognise).

In a year that’s been pretty low on stunning tech discounts else (yes, we mean you, Apple), Samsung’s phones, earbuds and tablets have been making routine appearances in Amazon’s deals pages.

We often check what’s hot on Amazon’s sellers list and the Samsung Galaxy A8 is currently at number 2 of the retailer’s best-selling tablets list.

Buyers clearly can’t get enough of this Android iPad alternative.

The Galaxy A8 hit the UK market in January 2022, price at £219.

It’s a got 10.5-inch screen, making it just a little larger than the 2021 Apple iPad, and is powered with Dolby Atmos sound.

It doesn’t have the processing speeds or capabilities of any models in Apple (much pricier) iPad line, but is aimed as a budget alternative.

With the £50 discount in mind, the Samsung Galaxy A8 is a superb affordable buy for anybody who wants a larger screen than their smartphone for activities like streaming and internet browsing.
