These prices are worth comparing against those for the same model at the Apple store, where you can expect to pay £779.

Ultimately, you’ll never be getting an item that’s on a par with anything fresh off the production line – but taking the refurbished route is certainly a way of saving big on Apple, a brand that’s pretty notorious for its prices.
The Pro Max is the biggest, bad phone in the iPhone 12 line, with a hefty 6.7-inch display, and a superior camera setup to the iPhone 12 Pro.
It originally went on sale in September 2020 for £1,099.
