You just need a spoonful of oil to pop into the machine to cook healthier chips, meats, vegetables and deserts.

There’s a timer too, so you can avoid overcooking your grub.

Home Bargains shoppers have taken to Facebook to praise the cooking gadget.

One person said: “I have this one and I absolutely love it.”

The Swan Carlton air fryer is also sold out at online retail giant Amazon.

It comes as energy bills are still heavily on everyone’s minds, and people have been coming up with hacks to save on bills this winter.

This has seen air fryers gain popularity over the last few months as under the new price cap, using one for 15 minutes costs just 13p.

But don’t worry, there are similar air fryers being sold elsewhere with a similar price tag.

The Otek 4.5L air fryer is priced at £59.99 on Amazon and comes with an adjustable temperature control and pre-set cooking times.

If you order online, it’s important remember to factor in the cost of delivery before you buy it.

Argos is also selling a Tower 4l air fryer for £56 that is perfect for frying, baking, grilling or roasting.

This is the cheapest we’ve found this product, but it’s always worth a search around other stores in case we’ve missed it for a better bargain.

Running an oven for an hour at the moment costs 21p – so an air fryer could be more expensive if you use it a lot.

However, these are only estimated costs – it mainly depends on how often you use which appliance and the models you own.

It also depends on what you cook – an energy expert told The Sun if you’re cooking breaded chicken, it’ll be cheaper to make it in an air fryer as opposed to an electric oven.

It’ll set you back just 11p to cook it, but it only needs to be in there for 39 minutes as opposed to 49 minutes in the oven.
