The George Home 12-piece porcelain dinner set is priced at £16 online, but the reduced price is only available in-store.

The set features four dinner plates, four side plates and four bowls.

The Daily Record reports that shopper Susan Davis revealed the bargain to members of the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook.

She said: “In the right place at the right time – I couldn’t believe the price.

“I even asked Asda staff, it really is £1.30.”

Other shoppers hailed the hack as an “absolute steal”.

The White Fawn Meadow set is not the only one available for a bargain at Asda stores.

Another shopper noticed that the Elephant 12-piece dinner set, priced at £18, scanned for £1.50 in their local branch.

An Asda spokesman said: “It’s likely that this product has been marked down to this price by individual stores as part of their own further markdowns.

“In-store availability and prices do sometimes vary from those online.”

It comes after an online shopper revealed the bizarre substitution Asda gave him for a 1kg chicken.

Instead of the chicken, Asda delivered a massive turkey too large to fit in the cook’s roaster.

Over at Lidl, shoppers slammed a £2.29 Valentine’s Day Ravioli for looking like a human body part.
