SHOPPERS are rushing to Asda to nab FREE cinema tickets in time to watch Barbie and Oppenheimer – but there’s a catch.

The supermarket is offering one Vue cinema ticket to anybody who purchases a £6 meal deal at its in-store pizza counter.

The deal includes two medium pizzas, with several toppings available, and one two-litre soft drink.

If you purchase a pizza meal deal by July 27, you will also be eligible to claim a Sky Store Online Movie Voucher.

Buyers must keep their receipt for proof of purchase in-order to redeem the deal.

And Facebook users were quick to react to the offer on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK page.

One said: “Good deal for the kids this summer and a free Vue ticket.”

Another claimed: “My local Asda wouldn’t honour the deal. Didn’t even go through on the till.”

A third commented: “Just pay separately if getting more than one offer.”

Barbie faced off against director Christopher Nolan‘s Oppenheimer on Friday in a box office battle dubbed Barbenheimer.

Oppenheimer tells the story of the American scientist, played by Irish actor Cillian Murphy, who developed the atomic bomb.

Meanwhile Barbie follows the iconic doll, played by Aussie Margot Robbie, as she ventures out of Barbieland into the real world to repair a rift between the two universes.
