With the cost of living crisis rolling on and energy bills still sky-high, the ability to keep warm for pennies is more valuable than ever.

Fortunately, Argos are selling the Silentnight Comfort Control electric blanket.

For £35 you can pick up the single bed size, while the double is £40.

It costs just a penny to preheat your bed on the low setting for an hour, keeping you nice and cosy a bedtime.

The blanket is also suitable for all-night use if you want to guarantee waking up warm.

If you were to do that seven nights a week, it would still only end up costing 56p a week, or £29 a year.

There is even an anti-overheating safety feature to give you peace of mind.

The polyester cover comes equipped with “easy fit” straps to fasten it securely onto the mattress.

More items from Silentnight’s range are also on offer on the Argos website, including the “yours & mine” electric blanket for £40, which allows bedfellows to set different halves of the blanket to different temperatures.
