Shopper shares trick to get almost half price off branded trainers like Nike

A SAVVY shopper has shared a trick to get the same pair of trainers or similar for much less than full price.

It works mainly for women’s shoe sizes, so if you have slightly smaller than average size feet you can buy trainers for almost half their ordinary price.

On Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK one user shared images of identical looking trainers at two different prices.

The bargain hunter explained that at Nike’s official store you can buy almost the same £89.95 women’s Air Force pair £35 cheaper if you have up to size six feet.

The reason behind this is because kid’s shoes are exempt from VAT, so shoppers with petite feet can buy shoes for a fraction of the adult size price if they take advantage of the tax quirk.

You can usually get around 20% slashed off the price with the little-known “hack”.

Nike have an Air Force 1 LE pair listed for £54.95 in the older kid’s shoe section but the sizes for this pair range between a UK 3 and a UK 6.

As well as the teens the shoes are designed for, many women in the UK will range between these sizes too, so it’s a chance of saving some cash if you can squeeze your feet into the smaller shoes.

The Nike Air Force 1 ’07, that’s nearly £90, in comparison ranges from a size UK 2.5 to a UK 9.5.

Both feature the iconic tick and all white colouring with a chunky platform base.

Because of the low prices a lot of the sizes are already sold out so you’ll have to be quick to cash in on the bargain.

Delivery is free online too, even for the cheaper shoes, as long as they are at least £50 otherwise it’s an extra £4.50.

If you are buying a cheaper pair and want to save on the extra costs then you can chose free click and collect instead and pick up your order from a participating local convenience store or official Nike store.

The trick works for any shoe, you just have to find the matching pairs in the adults section and kid’s section to compare; you can use the trick at JD sports too.

The retailer has a sale on at the moment that includes Fila Distruptors and you can purchase a pair from the junior section for only £45 and sizes go up to a six and a half.

Regularly an adult’s shoe from this brand would cost £80 so you could save £35 if you happen to wear a size under a UK 6.5.
