The cost of a Shark vacuum very much depends on the model and features you want.

Prices for cordless vacuums start at around £200 and can go up to more than £500, but prices for upright vacuum cleaners cost somewhere between £250 and £500.

To make sure you’re getting a good deal, check and compare prices at multiple retailers when you’re buying.

Shoppers can also use a price tracker such as CamelCamelCamel to see how much the price of the model you’re looking at  has changed over the last year.

Who makes Shark vacuum cleaners?

Shark originally started out in the US and is owned by a company called JS Global.

According to the Shark website it’s the ‘world’s 3rd largest small household appliances-focused company’.

Shark vacuum cleaners have been manufactured in China for the past seven years.

Is Shark better than Dyson?

Shark vacuums are well reviewed and are proving to be tough competition for top-end vacuum brands like Dyson and Vax.

Shark vacuum cleaners are well-priced and powerful with innovative, useful features.

It really depends what you’re looking for. In testing that we’ve done in the past, we’ve found that some of the latest Dyson models tend to be a bit more powerful and (in our opinion) look more stylish.

However, Dyson vacuum cleaners tend to come with a heftier price tag and, generally speaking, we prefer the additional features you get with Shark vacuum cleaners like the NZ801UKT vacuum cleaner model.

If you have lots of furry pets, or are looking for easy storage we recommend opting for one of Shark’s top models.

What is the best shark vacuum cleaner?

This depends on your needs and preferences, but look out for Shark vacuum cleaners with special features when you’re making your choice.

For a good all rounder we recommend the NZ801UKT or NZ801UK Upright Vacuum Cleaner as the best overall Shark vacuum cleaner to opt for.

Both classic models feature the ‘Lift away’ functionality, which allows you to go portable and carry the vacuum cleaner around when you’re cleaning stairs or around awkward bits of furniture.

They also include an anti-hair wrap function, which combs hairs out of the rollers to stop them clogging up your vacuum cleaner.

The sleek, lightweight and powerful models can cover big areas, but also you can also lift the bin away from the base and use the attachments for stairs and hard-to-reach spots.

Does Shark offer any other discounts?

If you can’t wait until Black Friday, check out Shark’s offers page for the retailer’s best deals year-round.

The vacuum maker offers frequent discounts across the year in key sales periods.

How much does shipping from Shark cost?

Shark has a great delivery service with free next-day delivery, seven days a week, on main units.
