BETTER BOXING: B&M’s storage range packs a punch. There are boxes for home office shelves, fridge compartments, and playrooms — all from £1. If you need a place to stash your photos, try Hobbycraft. It sells a range of photo boxes for £3.50, or two for £6.

TIDY-UP TIME: Want to clear clutter but keep a room looking stylish? Try a storage unit with boxes that fit the gaps. They look nice and hide mess quickly when you fill the boxes with Lego — or whatever litters your floor. Argos is selling its boxes half-price when bought with one of its Home Squares storage units. Package prices start at £30.50 and the deal is available until January 28.

UP & UNDER: Got shoes lying around or “things” with no fixed place to be? Try a hanging organiser for the back of a door, and use space under the bed or on top of cupboards. Dunelm is offering 20 per cent off selected storage, including a hanging organiser and a lidded shoe box, both now £4.80, down from £6. Ikea’s simple Pärkla storage cases are useful and only £1.75 each.
