Offer which DHSC says modernises consultant contract and alters pay structure will end strike if unions members accept

Consultants in England have reached a deal with the government that could end strikes, the Department of Health and Social Care has said.

The DHSC said it reached an agreement with consultants from the British Medical Association (BMA) and the Hospital Consultants and Specialists Association (HCSA) after weeks of talks.
