B&Q shoppers can use a ‘secret’ discount to bag the store’s popular hanging egg chair for just £162.

The DIY giant’s Nikouria metal hanging egg chair is normally £180 to buy, but shoppers can save £18 off the price with the hack.

And what’s better is this “hidden” discount even makes the furniture cheaper than popular rival Aldi’s sold-out one.

The budget supermarket had stocked its own hanging egg chair for £189.99, making it almost £28 more expensive.

The pricier product was quickly snapped up by shoppers though, as they wiped clean the shelves of all remaining stock.

Bargain hunters have another chance now to bag a similar product at an even better price.

Asda has slashed the price of its hanging egg chair to just £200

The chair, with its minimalistic style, has a weather resistant framework which B&Q says is easy to maintain.

It comes in a classic steel grey colouring and includes a comfy seat cushion too.

But it’s thanks to bargain hunters on deal sourcing forum hotukdeals that shoppers know of the covert reduction.

Users spotted the deal and shared how to get it on the website.

And luckily there aren’t many steps you’ll have to take to get the 10% off.

All you have to do is add the chair to your basket and it will be automatically applied.

The “secret” discount is only available online until May 11 though.

It’s great news if you’re not after a hanging feature for your garden though – as the money-off is in fact applied to all of B&Q’s range for the limited time.

But shoppers shared how you could go one step further to snag the garden furniture for a bargain price too.

One user on the hotukdeals post revealed that loyalty members could cash-in on their £5 vouchers to bring the total all the way down to £157.

New customers get £5 off any spend as a reward for signing up – so a new back yard bargain could be the perfect time to use it and splash out.

Just make sure before you do part with your cash that you have a shop around first.

We already know the deal is cheaper than Aldi, but other retailers might have an even better offer available.

The Range has a similar version on sale for just £150 for example, saving shoppers another £12 on their spend.

What you will have to keep in mind with B&Q’s deal though is the extra delivery fee on top.

It can cost around £10 given the size of the product, so you’ll need to factor this in to your budget.

You should also avoid splashing out just because you know how to score an extra bit of money-off – if you weren’t planning on buying anyway then you won’t have made a saving.
