But savvy Mumsnet mums have shared their top strategies to earn £10 a day – which could help you boost your finances.

Between rising energy costs and inflation, higher tax bills and the possibility of interest rate rises, most people will find that their pay packet doesn’t go as far as it used to.
And with wages failing to keep up, many families may find that they’re left struggling to plug the gaps.
Earning extra money sounds like a no-brainer, but how can you boost your income in your spare time.
Mums on Mumsnet may have an answer in the form of their Earn £10 A Day threads.
The financial whizzes suggest some of their top tips and there’s something for everyone, whether you’ve got five minutes to spare on a survey, or more significant hours to fill.
The Frugaleers also update their fellow earners with how much they made last month.

While the thread says you can earn £10 a day, many people have boosted their incomes by substantially more netting thousands of pounds each month.
One poster even says she’s turned these earners into a full-time income.
Even if you earned just £10 a day, that would work out at around £300 a month and £3,650 a year.
One mum said: “I made just under £1200 in December again and I’m pleased about it as we have been spending a lot of money recently (not even on fun stuff), so it definitely helps.
“I’m happy to have a little break though because my clicking hand is killing me at the moment and I don’t want to end up with carpal tunnel.”
Another added: “Happy New Year everyone! I had a very good December (a bit over £1600), but my good App project seems to have come to an end so I will probably need to put some more effort in this month”

Surveys and market research
If you can score market research gigs they often pay a decent amount. They’re often sought after though, so you’ll need to be quick and reliable to get the work.

Surveys are less well paid, but there are lots and lots of companies that let you join. If you do a few of them, it soon adds up, and they’re easy to do when you have a spare minute.
One Mumsnet user recommends Prolific as her favourite site. Another popular option is YouGov.co.uk.
Transcribing
If you’re a fast typer, this could be an option for you. It involves listening to recordings and writing up what’s being said.
You’ll need to be accurate, and it’s definitely a plus to be quick if you want to get used.
One site, Way With Words, says you can earn between $0.45 – $1.73 per audio minute based on project turnaround time.
Meanwhile, Rev offers between $0.30 and $1.10 per audio or video minute, depending on which site you use.
Microtasks and moderation
Described as some of the biggest earners, these are websites that pay you a fee for completing part-time flexible tasks.

Appen is the most popular, with plenty of users reporting regular tasks and boosts to their income.
You won’t make millions, but you can pick up smaller or medium jobs to ramp up your income, depending on what time you have spare.
If you’re considering micro jobs, make sure you’re alert for scams. A common scam tactic is to ask for a fee to join up, so this should be a red flag.
Cashback
Cashback is a great way to earn, as you’ll make money as you spend.
Typically sites will offer you a percentage back when you shop and it can work on everything from groceries and takeaways to buying insurance and investing.
One Mumsnetter said: “Top cashback is amazing!! Definitely use it, I’ve saved over £500 using it over the last 10 years, mainly on insurance products.”
The most common sites to use are Topcashback and Quidco.
Freelancing
If you’ve got skills such as writing, designing, developing, admin or accounting, you could get people to pay you to use them.
Lots of freelancers set up their own businesses, but there are also plenty of websites that will match your skills up with people’s needs.
Often jobs or tasks will go up online and you can apply to complete them.
