According to a post made by @TechDroider on X (formerly Twitter), the One UI 6.1 update will have a new Grammerly-style Change Tone feature.

It lets users choose from a selection of different text tones, such as Professional, Witty or even Social Post, to get the most out of your messages.

Once Samsung users click the tone they are aiming for with their text, AI will rewrite the message to fit the Professional, Witty or Social Post goal.

It appears that the AI-based feature can also translate text for you, according to the images @TechDroider posted.

It’s thought that this will see AI analyse a text to determine what the tone is.

If implemented well, this feature could help kill off unnecessary SMS arguments that stem from misunderstanding the tone of a message.

While there’s an expectation that this feature will be included in Samsung’s January update – no official timeline has yet been announced.

It’s not the only AI feature that is rumoured to be landing on Samsung handsets in the coming weeks.

Samsung owners may soon be able to create unique AI-generated wallpapers with text prompts alone, according to tech commentator @BennettBuhner on X.

9to5Google, which first reported the new wallpaper feature, essentially called the Android AI option ‘the main selling point’ of Google’s new Pixel 8 series.

It gives users the power to create their own unique wallpapers designs using AI – where no two wallpapers are alike.

Of course, there are a few restrictions, including a limited selection of categories to choose from and the fact that it only works with an internet connection.
