The supermarket said it has let customers know its sale, which was held in October last year, is “launching soon”.

However, it hasn’t specified an exact date. We will update this article with more information when we have it.

In an email to a customer posted on Facebook, Sainsbury’s wrote: “We wanted to share with you that this year the toy event will be happening in November, helping you to spread the cost of Christmas.

“As always, there will be bargains on toys and games from the biggest brands that you won’t want to miss out on.”

Sainsbury’s hasn’t confirmed the details of this year’s sale, but last year toys were discounted by up to half price.

In 2020, the discounted brands such as Fortnite, Lego, Marvel and Jurassic World were only available in store, not online.

A Sainsbury’s spokesperson said: “We’re busy preparing a range of toys and games for customers to choose from in our popular toy sale and we’ve let our customers know it’s launching in store soon.”

Meanwhile, Morrisons has already launched its up to half price toy sale.

Shoppers have spotted discounts including a Peppa Pig wooden playhouses for £55, down from £110.

We have asked Morrisons for details on the sale, including other deals and when it will end, and will update this article with more information when we have it.

Other retailers including Asda and Argos, which is owned by Sainsbury’s, have already held their toy sales.

Tesco Clubcard members have also had a chance to bag a bargain on half price toys.
