Declining letter volumes and rising costs blamed for double-digit increase from 4 April

Royal Mail is increasing the price of a first-class stamp by 10p to 95p in an inflation-busting hike blamed on declining letter volumes and rising costs.

The near 12% price increase will come into effect on 4 April when the cost of a second-class stamp will also rise by 2p to 68p.
