The 140g pink-coloured bags were a fan favourite for many but they are no longer available to buy from UK shops and supermarkets.

No official reason was given at the time for their sudden disappearance and understandably many people were left heartbroken.

But after one person on social media questioned the decision to stop selling the Foamies, Rowntrees said that they weren’t “as popular as others in the range”.

There are ways, however, that the strawberry biscuit and ice-cream biscuit flavoured foamies can still be enjoyed.

In response to a disgruntled Randoms Foamies lover on X (formerly Twitter), the Rowntrees social media account revealed that the yummy sweets can still be found in the Randoms packs.

While this may not suffice for the majority, at least the Foamies aren’t completely gone forever.

Furthermore, Rowntrees have frequently responded to social media users telling them that they will “let the team know” they miss the Foamies bag.

Elsewhere, Rowntrees have also said that Tooty Frooties will never come back after a fan begged for their return.

The squircle shaped treats – similar to Skittles – were quietly axed in 2019 after 50 years.

And the sweet company has also had to apologise to shoppers who threatened to boycott it after the axing of an iconic 80s treat.

Some have said they miss the Nutty bar so much, they’ll stop buying from Rowntree’s until it’s brought back.
