RESIDENT Evil 4 has fewer herbs and potions than some other games in the series.

Despite this, it can be tricky to figure out which herbs you need to combine for the potions you want.

While there aren’t poison resistances and the like to worry about, you have to focus on your health if you want to make it through.

Here are all the medicines you can make in the Resident Evil 4 remake.

Resident Evil 4 remake: All herb types

There are three types of herbs that you can find and collect in the Resident Evil 4 remake.

Green Herbs are the standard type of herb that you will find, and these will heal you for a small amount of health.

Red Herbs don’t do much on their own, but will multiply the effects of other herbs when combined.

Finally, the Yellow Herbs will raise your maximum health permanently after use.

Resident Evil 4 remake: All herb combinations

Every medicine combination requires at least one Green Herb, the potion that comes out depends on what you mix with it.

All of the following medicines are combined with 1x Green Herb:

  • 1x Green Herb
    • Restores five cells on your health meter
  • 2x Green Herb
    • Restores 100% of your health
  • 1x Red Herb
    • Restores 100% of your health
  • 1x Yellow 
    • Restores a small portion of health and raises maximum health
  • 1x Yellow Herb, 1x Red Herb
    •  Raises maximum health and restores 100% of your health meter

Mixing up your herbs also has the benefit of freeing up space in your inventory.

Also, when you are in the midst of a fight, it’s better to have more potent medicine on hand.

When your health gauge is at its maximum, you can mix 1x Yellow Herb and 1x Red Herb to sell to merchants.
