A RAT-INFESTED house which was flooded with sewage is unrecognisable after it sold for just £43,000 on Homes Under The Hammer.
The “incredibly filthy” property in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, was auctioned for a dirt-cheap guide price of £20,000.

And it now looks completely different.
The two-bed house, which featured on the popular BBC One show on Monday, was bought by HGV driver Yan – even after the show’s host Dion Dublin warned it was too dangerous to go inside.
The star said: “When you take on a property like this, in this condition, the first thing you’re going to have to think about is skips and how many you’re going to need.
“It all needs to go before you see what you’ve got to work with.
“Now, I’m not going to be going in there because there’s sewage, it’s incredibly filthy and there’s signs of a rat infestation as well.
“Neither me nor the film crew will be going in there because it’s a huge health and safety hazard.”
FRIGHT MOVE
But Yan and wife Clara were undeterred.
After buying the property, they worked with local tradies to completely transform it.
He told the cameras his renovations are a “hobby”.
“It’s like a hobby for me,” he said.
“I did houses with friends before, so I’m looking to do it in my free time.
“When I saw it, I was thinking that’s the right project for me.”
‘HEALTH AND SAFETY HAZARD’
There was no plumbing and no electric inside the property when the couple paid out for it.
“Everything needed to be done,” he said.
He considered living in the home himself, but eventually decided to rent it to a local family for £800 a month.
Elsewhere, London’s cheapest flat will go under the hammer for just £20,000 this week – but would-be bidders should closely read the small print first.
The leasehold has just over a year left – and there’s no guarantee a homeowner with such a short time remaining will be able to renew it.
At the other end of the scale is a Harry Potter-inspired flat on sale for £315,000 in Edinburgh.
