Showers in London and around UK mimicked ‘atrocious’ weather on Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation day

Downpours rained on King Charles’s parade on Saturday, as thousands turned out in the streets of London and across the UK to watch the coronation.

It became another unfortunate aspect inherited from previous monarchs, as rain has been seen on the previous four coronation days, including that of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, on hers in June 1953.
