NESTLE has announced it is bringing back a beloved classic chocolate bar and fans claim it is “out of this world”.

The brand has revealed the KikKat 70% dark chocolate bar has returned to shelves but with a different recipe.

The KitKat 70% Dark has not been seen since 2022 but the bitter chocolate bar has left a long-lasting impression. 

Nestle said on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Exclusively in Sainbury’s, KitKat 70% Dark is the latest addition to our iconic brand!”

The bar is back with a new recipe as Nestle has said it will only use cocoa mass sourced from their income accelerator programme for the new bar.

Nestle said: “KitKat 70% Dark is suitable for vegetarians and contains no artificial colours, flavours, or preservatives.”

X users have been sharing their love for the dark chocolate bar for more than a decade. 

One user said: “It’s out of this world.”

Another said: “Those things are pure heaven.”

Nestlé adds: “The bar is made with cocoa mass sourced from families enrolled in Nestlé’s cocoa income accelerator programme, which aims to improve livelihoods of cocoa farming families and communities.”

The new income accelerator programme will focus on advancing regenerative agriculture practices which aim to protect, preserve and restore natural resources for generations to come.

Additionally, the programme aims to empower women as agents for positive change, encourage school enrolment and support farming communities in diversifying their income stream.

The KitKat 70% Dark bar is a limited-edition treat that is available exclusively in Sainsbury’s stores nationwide.

We’ve reached out to Nestle to confirm the price of the new chocolate bars which are in supermarkets now.

Remember you can still get your hands on the KitKat 2 Finger Dark Chocolate Biscuit Bar. 

The bar is going for £2 in Tesco or £1.50 in Sainsbury’s if you have a Nectar card.

However, this bar won’t have up to 70% dark chocolate in it like the new one.

Last year KitKat fans spotted several new flavours on shop shelves.

The new mint cookies and cream KitKat was spotted in B&M stores.

Plus shoppers found the Australian KitKat Milkybar for the first time.

In other news, shoppers spot new “top tier” McVities chocolate bars in stores saying they taste like iconic discontinued treat.
