PLAYSTATION owners have two days to pick up ‘thrilling’ horror simulation game The Forest for under a fiver.

The 2014 title is currently 65 per cent off in the PlayStation Store – where it has a strong 4.48 star rating – bringing the price down from £13.99 to only £4.89.

Gamers must act fast, however, as the deal ends midnight 20 December.

The first-person game follows the lone survivor of a plane crash.

Players find themselves in a mysterious forest battling to stay alive against a society of cannibalistic mutants.

You can build settlements and explore beautiful scenery in the daylight, before hunkering down for a night of survival once the sun drops.

If your mates have got what it takes, players on HotUKDeals say the game is “brilliant… especially if you can go on the journey with a friend.”

Another wrote: “Easily one of my favourite games of all time. Love the atmosphere and mechanics, and a blast when playing with friends.”

But be warned, players say the game has left them frozen in fear or running for their lives.

“Scared the sh** out of me this game!!,” a third player wrote.

“I was sat on a little rock in the middle of a pond all night long… Was sooo scared, but it was good cause I’ve not felt like this in a game before.

“Deffo worth this price just for that alone. Feels like you’re actually there. God imagine it on VR?”

A fourth player said: “I remember running for dear life through the dark forest just so I can make it back to the boat at the start of the game.”

And a fifth wrote: “Great game, well worth it at that price, thoroughly enjoyed it at double the price.”
