Are you tired of listening to actors mumbling their lines when you watch your favourite shows at home?

A Netflix upgrade allows viewers to activate a sound quality upgrade on hundreds of its most-watched shows.

Its Spatial Audio gives users an ‘immersive cinematic’ experience from their own living rooms, without the need for expensive and complicated sound equipment.

More than 700 of Netflix’s fan favourite series will have improved sound quality, including Wednesday, Stranger Things, The Watcher and Knives Out: Glass Onion

But the audio upgrade is only available to Netflix’s Premium users – the most expensive account available.

Netflix said: ‘Our members with Premium will enjoy the highest quality sound experience available, whether they are watching at home on TV or a computer, or on the go with a phone or tablet.

‘Netflix spatial audio brings an immersive, cinematic sound experience on any device with no additional equipment required — and now it’s available on more than 700 of our top watched titles.’

To check if your account is eligible, open Netflix on your device and head over to your profile icon.

There, you will see an option for Account listed. Click on this and it will say which of Netflix’s account options you are currently on.

You can upgrade your account by visiting the website.

Other perks are also included, such as having access to all of the streaming platform’s TV shows, films and mobile games.

If you have a compatible TV and Netflix Premium, the audio improvement will happen automatically.

Otherwise, viewers can find titles with the sound quality upgrade by searching for titles and looking for shows with the small Spatial Audio icon (like a speaker) next to the description.
