Prince Harry’s old car that was used to take him and Meghan to Pippa Middleton’s wedding reception has been listed for sale for £42,000.

The prince drove the luxury Audi RS6 Avant to whisk his wife around Britain in 2017, including picking her up from Heathrow Airport whenever she jetted into the country from her former home in Toronto, Canada.

The top-of-the-range super-estate was originally kitted out with £11,000 of optional extras, taking the list price to £91,500.

The ‘Daytona Grey’ model boasts a panoramic sunroof, cruise control, heated seats, night vision assist, heads up display, Bose sound system and seven-inch infotainment screen.

Its twin-turbocharged four-litre V8 engine gives it a 0-to-60mph time of just 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 174mph – making it one of the fastest family cars on the road when new.

The six-year-old motor has 68,000 miles on the clock – 4,464 of them covered by Harry during his 15 months of ownership.

The Audi is now up for grabs on online motoring marketplace PistonHeads, where petrol heads have been quick to poke fun at the Sussexes, claiming the car would be more without its association to the couple.

One user commented: ‘Test drive would be essential. I suspect it will have an incessant whine from somewhere that won’t be able to be stopped’.

Another added: ‘Harry’s association should devalue it in my view. Lovely car though for sure’.

But others ticked off the couple’s critics for their ‘hating’, insisting that the listing is simply ‘a nice car being sold for an honest price’.

The Audi has changed hands on more than one occasion since it was owned by the royal.

In August 2018, Derby-based dealer Overton Prestige offered it for sale for £71,900, saying in its listing that ‘No corgi hairs have been found on the honeycomb-stitched valcona leather interiors’.

The current seller is an individual based in Grantham, Lincolnshire.

Matt Bird, deputy editor of PistonHeads, highlighted how the luxury motor is on offer for less than half its original cost.

He said: ‘The Audi RS6 is a firm favourite among performance car enthusiasts, and rightly so.

‘Even with royal blood running through its fuel lines, this example is now available for less than half the car’s original purchase price.

‘While most people would be forgiven for mistaking the RS6 as any other Audi-badged estate, the RS6 is genuinely capable of going toe-to-toe with most supercars when it comes to straight-line performance.’

Prince Harry has been spotted driving a string of fast Audis down the years, including the RS3 hot hatch and an RS5 performance saloon.

The listing arrives just days after a 2004 Range Rover owned by the late Queen sold for a record £132,750 at an auction after the previous keeper – who only bought the car in July 2023 for £33,000 – quadrupled the price they paid having unearth its incredible provenance.
