CADBURY fans are going wild after spotting new cookies based on a popular Easter chocolate.

One sweet-toothed shopper alerted other chocolate lovers to the tasty Easter treat launching in supermarkets on February 12.

Cadbury mini eggs fans will soon be able to get their favourite Easter chocs in cookie form from next month.

A post made to the Snack News and Reviews Facebook group said the cookies were “landing in Tesco, Asda and Morrisons from February 12.”

The post quickly racked up almost 1.5k comments from eager fans wanting to get their hands on the new cookies.

One said: “OMG I need them all.”

Another added: “I know someone who will LOVE these.”

While a third said: “My prayers have been answered.”

We could not find any other information online about the Mini Eggs cookies, but we have approached Cadbury’s for comment.

A spokesperson for Asda has confirmed that the cookies will be launching in its stores on February 12.

Meanwhile, recent weeks have seen supermarket shelves filling up with Easter Eggs and Easter chocolate.

Just last week Cadbury fans were once again treated to some newness in the form of a large Creme Egg Easter egg – but with a new twist.

Asda shoppers have also been rushing out to buy an Easter egg that’s based on an iconic flavour.

Also a limited edition chocolate bar has been spotted on the shelves of Poundland this year – and it’s laced with an Easter favourite.

However, not all the recent news coming from Cadbury Headquarters has been good.

One fan recently asked the chocolate giant if it had any plans to bring back the Spira bar, which is a retro favourite among many.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter) Cadbury said it had “no plans” to bring back the Spira.

The news came as a bitter disappointment to many lovers of the chocolate bar which was discontinued in 2005.

The classic bar was first made available to Brits in the North-West and South-West of England – but due to being an instant hit was soon stocked in shops all over the UK in 1989.

Unfortunately its popularity became its downfall and it was discontinued as Cadbury became unable to keep up with the demand.
