POUNDLAND has made a big change in stores and bargain hunters will be thrilled.
The popular discount chain has launched a price comparison against major retailers like Asda and Wilko.

As first reported in The Grocer, Poundland has stuck up posters in stores highlighting the prices of everyday items compared to other shops.
The posters state how much shoppers can save on various products compared to a specific retailer, stating: “Like Asda, just cheaper”.
Each shows how big of a saving can be made, for example, one boasts a saving of £1.95 on a can of Heinz tomato soup, an 80-bag box of PG Tips, a packet of five Cadbury Brunch Bars and a bottle of HP sauce.
It claims that Asda is selling the same items for £8.95, and Poundland is offering them for £7.
Another reads “like Wilko, just cheaper” and claims to save £5 over on various branded cleaning products, including Kleenex tissues and Fairy washing-up liquid.
The poster states that the products are available at Wilko for £14, but for £9 at Poundland.
Poundland reportedly told The Grocer that there would “no doubt be more” retailers in the firing line of further posters.
The Sun understands that the posters have been in place for several weeks and are being swapped out regularly.

In recent years Poundland has made strides to expand its grocery offering, in a bid to make it a one-stop-shop for all shopper’s needs.
It has introduced chilled and frozen food ranges across hundreds of shops.
The Sun visited one store in Nottingham and found it rivalled major supermarkets with a huge selection of products and food.
Earlier this year Poundland announced it was opening 50 new stores across the UK by the end of September.
Poundland is not the only retailer targeting other supermarkets with price comparisons.
Both, Tesco and Sainsbury’s regularly advertise their Aldi price match initiative to highlight low prices.

Even the savviest of Poundland shoppers might be missing out on bagging the best bargains.
But there are some tips and tricks you can employ to get the best deals.
It’s best to visit your nearest branch first thing, as that’s when they will be fully stocked up and you’re most likely to get everything you need.
You can find your nearest store by using Poundland’s store locator on its website.
You just have to enter your town name, city or postcode.
Try checking out the clearance shelves too – you’ll be able to get discounted prices there.
Non-food discounted products tend to be near the tills.
Anything with a use-by date will be on its own specific shelf, found in different places depending on the store.
Plus, if you spot a product selling cheaper on Primark’s website compared to in-store you can ask a member of staff to price-match it for you.
But honouring the price isn’t an obligation so it depends on who is in charge that day.
