POUNDLAND has expanded its home delivery trial to around 1.8million Brits who can order shopping online and get it delivered to their door.
The store has been trialling home deliveries to its 18,000 staff and a select number of customers who were invited to take part in the trial.

But now, shoppers in Birmingham and Walsall will be able to order items and get them delivered to their homes.
Delivery costs £4, and over 2,500 products are available to order online, including grocery, entertainment, DIY, and health and beauty items.
Prices online will be the same as items sold across Poundland’s 850 stores across the UK.
Only shoppers who live in postcodes which start with B1 up to and including B98 will be able to use the service, as well as those living in postcodes starting with WS1 up to and including WS15.
This is because a former Poundland store located in nearby Cannock has been converted into a delivery and fulfilment centre for the online orders.
Where is Poundland trialling home deliveries?
POUNDLAND is trialling home deliveries across 113 postcodes in Birmingham and Walsall.
Shoppers will be able to order their shopping and get it delivered home for £4.

Postcodes starting from B1 going up to and including B98 – this covers the following local authority areas:
- Birmingham
- Bromsgrove
- Dudley
- Lichfield
- North Warwickshire
- North West Leicestershire
- Redditch
- Sandwell
- Solihull,
- Stratford-on-Avon
- Tamworth
- Walsall
- Warwick
- Wychavon
Postcodes starting from WS1 going up to and including WS15 – this covers the following council areas:
- Cannock Chase
- East Staffordshire,
- Lichfield
- Sandwell
- South Staffordshire
- Stafford
- Walsall
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to order shopping for home delivery if you live in any other postcode.
But Poundland retail and transformation director said as the shop “learns” from the trial, it expects to open up the new service to more of the UK over the year.
Poundland hasn’t confirmed where the trial will expand to next or when this could happen.
But we’ve asked and will update you as soon as we have more information.
If you live in the areas Poundland is trialling home delivery in, then you can use the service heading to the store’s website.
You’ll have to create an account first – which is free to do – and include a few personal details such as your email address and postcode.
Then you can shop like you would normally do online, and order it to be delivered to your home when you get to the checkout.
If you fall outside of the trial’s postcode districts, you can still set up an account and register your interest for home deliveries.
It comes as the retailer opened a new style of store based on the corner shop format where you can pop in for milk and other essentials last weekend.
The shops are named Poundland Locals, and two have opened in Yorkshire as the retailer trials a smaller convenience store format closer to people’s homes.
It’s also planning to expand the number of usual Poundland shops found across Britain’s high streets too.
The bargain retailer will be opening 30 new stores by September, creating an extra 250 jobs.
