A POSH stately home which features in steamy Netflix drama Bridgerton has hit the market.

Fans of the show will be “burning” with desire for the luxury two-bed property on Bath’s iconic Royal Crescent – but it will set them back £850,000.

The “beautifully presented” apartment spans the lower ground floor of a Georgian townhouse on the prestigious street.

An entrance hall leads to a formal drawing room, study area and modern kitchen with bespoke fitted units and granite worktops.

This then extends to an “impressive” dining space with double doors opening out onto a courtyard garden.

There is also a master bedroom with an en suite cloakroom, and a further double bedroom.

A family bathroom and large utility room complete the interior, while a sun terrace offers outside space at the front and there is a “secluded” courtyard out back.

And if that wasn’t enough, a private garage is available by separate negotiation.

The home carries the renowned address which forms the centrepiece of Bath’s architectural heritage with “commanding views both across the city, over neighbouring crescents and parkland”.

But not only is it recognised worldwide for its stunning design, it is also one of the filming locations for period drama Bridgerton.

The series, inspired by Julia Quinn’s bestselling novels, follows Daphne Bridgerton, played by Phoebe Dynevor, 26, as she makes her debut on to Regency London’s marriage market.

It also made a star of Regé-Jean Page, 33, who has been tipped by ex-007 Pierce Brosnan to take over as James Bond.

Despite being largely set in London’s Mayfair, much of the action was shot in Bath, Somerset.

The city’s Royal Crescent features in several opening shots, with elegant members of the ton taking strolls with parasols alongside horse drawn carriages.

The first house on the block is also home to the Featheringtons, including Penelope, played by Nicola Coughlan, who is later revealed as the Gossip Girl inspired anonymous writer Lady Whistledown.

Plus the semi-circle of 30 Grade I-listed terraced houses was the backdrop to Page’s character Simon’s dawn ride to a dual with Anthony Bridgerton, played by Jonathan Bailey, in episode four.

The period drama, which was streamed by 63 million households within two weeks of its arrival on Netflix on Christmas Day 2020, was hailed for its steamy scenes between the main characters.

It has since been watched by more than 82 million people, and it also came second in a list of the most popular shows that people in the UK searched for on Google in 2021.

Series one is available on the streaming giant now, and series two is expected in 2022.

Royal Crescent got its most recent showing off in Bridgerton, but you may also recognise the street from The Duchess, starring Keira Knightley.

It also played a small role in the 2004 film Vanity Fair with Reese Witherspoon.

The flat is on the market with Knight Frank – but if you want to live out your Lady Whistledown dream there, you better act quick.

The estate agents reckon the place will be snapped up in no time thanks to it carrying “Bath’s most prestigious address”.
